It features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers the power equivalent to a 64cc gas backpack blower, with a high blowing force of 22 Newtons and a maximum air volume of 670 CFM. The blower offers a tube-mounted variable speed trigger, cruise control, and a 3-stage telescoping nozzle for user convenience. The CBU02Z also boasts features like a comfortable ergonomic harness, IPX4 weather-resistant construction, and Makita's Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) for enhanced durability in harsh job site conditions. The CBU02Z is a "tool only" configuration, requiring a Makita 40V max XGT battery and compatible charger (sold separately). As part of the ConnectX system, it's designed to be powered by the backpack-style PDC1200 and PDC1500 portable power supplies for extended runtime, though it can also be used with standard XGT batteries.
