Osmunda Regalis Royal Fern

Osmunda Regalis Royal Fern is a tall, robust, deciduous fern with rusty-brown flowers that bloom in spring. Royal Fern displays a large rosette of elegant, broadly-divided, bright green fronds that emerge pinkish in spring and turn red-brown in fall. This fern prefers part to full shade and thrives in fertile, humus-rich, moist, well-drained soils. Royal Fern can be used in shady beds, borders, underplanting shrubs, and roses along streams or ponds, cottage landscapes, woodland landscapes, or bog landscapes.
